This can occur because the pixels within the image are not completely greyscale, and will contain other colour values, which when printed are picked up by the colour management software of your printer, often resulting in the human eye picking up a coloured cast on an image.
One solution to this is to convert an image to full greyscale, and then back to RGB. This ensures more accurate grey pixel values within the image, whilst returning to an RGB colour mode which often produces the most accurate results after the image has been processed by your printers/software's colour management.
For example, when using CorelDRAW, select the image. Then click on Bitmaps > Mode > Greyscale. Now select Bitmaps > Mode > RGB.
