Loading Roland Media Library files in to Versaworks

Modified on Wed, 15 May at 2:24 PM

Firstly double check that your software is running the latest version (check the manufacturer website for the latest updates).

Roland Media Library files created in later version may not install in earlier versions of Versaworks.

Once you have downloaded or obtained the .RML (Roland Media Library) file and placed this in a location of your choice, follow the steps below to install:

1. Open Versaworks and go to Media Explorer (Media > Media Explorer) as shown below:

2. Click on the “Open File” icon (highlighted below - number 1).

3. Locate and select the “RML” file downloaded or copied to your computer earlier, then click "Open" (highlighted below - number 2).

4. Click "OK" on the following “Import Media” window, you may also need to click Yes on a small Roland VersaWorks warning window as shown below:

5. This will now show the media type listed within the Media Explorer window. To confirm the install click OK and then click Yes on the following VersaWorks warning window as shown below:

By following the above 5 steps you will have successfully loaded a new media type into VersaWorks. This will now be available to select from the media types list, found in the quality tab in the Job or Queue settings.
