Modified on Fri, 21 Mar at 11:57 AM

Due to recent Microsoft Windows update many Roland DG have experienced problems where by they will not respond to data being sent. This problem has now been resolved by the release of a new print driver. Please see the below steps to resolve the problem:

  • Download the latest print driver for their cutter model and windows operating system from the following link https://downloadcenter.rolanddg.com/
  • Search for your model of cutter
  • Select ‘software’
  • Locate the driver that is relevant to your operating system (Windows 10, 11 for example) and download the driver (version 1.60)
  • Once downloaded, unzip the contents of the download (to a folder on your desktop for example)
  • Unplug the USB cable to the cutter
  • locate the unzipped files and double click the ‘setup’ file to begin the installation/uninstallation wizard
  • Select uninstall and the model of cutter and click ‘start’ before following the prompts – It is recommended to firstly uninstall the previous driver
  • The PC then requires a restart (as per the onscreen prompt)
  • Double click the ‘setup’ file again to begin the installation/uninstallation wizard
  • Select install and the model of cutter and click ‘start’, then follow the installation wizard to complete the process
  • Insert the USB cable once more

The process is complete and the system will now cut correctly.
